Doctor Michael Jennings was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He attended The University of Mississippi and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and dual Minors in Chemistry and Classics. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Mississippi Medical Center, graduating with honors. He completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery training at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, the American Urologic Association, and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
Dr. Jennings’ training includes advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including the use of advanced laparoscopic procedures and the da Vinci robot for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate, kidney, and various other urologic cancers. Further training includes: male and female urinary dysfunction, urinary incontinence, bladder cancer, and men’s health.
Dr. Jennings and his wife Ashley have three children and have made North Alabama their home. Dr. Jennings enjoys all sports but primarily has a love for SEC football. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, reading, fishing, golfing, grilling, health/wellness, and quality time with his family.
