Manish Shah, M.D., is a native of Dallas, Texas. He completed his undergraduate training in 1991 at The University of Texas at Austin. He graduated from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, Texas, in 1995. He completed his general surgical training and urology residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001. Dr. Shah is the former President of the Alabama Urological Society. He is currently the Alabama delegate to The Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, Inc. (SESAUA). Dr. Shah is certified by the American Board of Urology. His areas of special interests include general urology, management of urological stone disease, and the management of urologic cancer, including kidney, bladder, prostate, and testicular cancers. He is certified in robotic surgery and in the use of holmium and CO2 lasers. He is an active member of the American Urological Association, the Endourological Society, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Shah and his wife, Rhonda, have two children. Dr. Shah’s personal interests include golf, skiing, whitewater rafting, softball, fishing, music, travel, and carpentry.
